This is pretty neat... Marlon Davidson, listed as the #2 player in the country according to Rivals, visits South Alabama. He visited Alabama on Wednesday, Auburn on Thursday, and South Alabama today. He holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Florida State, Mississippi State, Texas, Florida, and South Alabama among others.

I'm not saying he will commit to USA, but hey, we got him on campus!

Wow. Big win just to get him on campus.

Good just to have this kid on campus, can't get them to sign if you don't get a chance to show them what we have to offer.

Seriously even if he doesn't sign with you things may change in the future. We just got a former 4 star d-lineman after things didn't work out with Bama. We wouldn't get him coming out of high school but things change.

I think we know how this turns out but this might be the first time a SBC school had a player rated this high on a visit.

BTW who released that picture? I'm not trying to start anything but it could be a rules violation. I don't believe the school is allowed to release pictures of recruits. Or at least I think that's the rule

No, not talking but at the FCS level I'm talking about last year and this year. To my knowledge we have only signed 1 4* and he was out of Juco. Now he did play up to his 4* rating but he wasn't the best kid on the field, but he was good.

But I was mainly talking about the #2 guy coming out of HS...now days to most kids if not all it would be about like them going to the Sr prom with the fattest, ugliest girl in school to waste a visit on one of us.

I'm pretty sure there was an offer while the previous staff was here, but when he left Greenville for Carver, there wasn't much of a chance because he received a 4th and 5th star, in that time.

His mom passed earlier so he moved back to be with his grand ma. Said he wanted to stay close to home, but has shown some interest for Clemson. This will be interesting because he had a cousin that played for auburn...

Right, I just through the part in about the 4* juco for fluff being that that was in 2009. We have had several high school 4* kids visit in the last two recruiting cycles. I'm sure that's hard to believe but it's true. Looking back at my post I didn't specify the year.
