Arkansas State will be testing the "No one does it faster than Neal Brown" theory this year.

I'm sure the DC is going to love this. Better hope you're getting first downs, or it's going to be another long season.

See Troy from 2006-2009 under Neal Brown and Tony Franklin (who's also high on the list) We seemed to do fine

RE: Fast tempo offense... No one does it faster than Neal Brown
In his first year as an OC, Bryant Vincent's UAB offense averaged 80.4 snaps per game, which would have put him at or near the top of this list. I assume that only having one year of stats is why he was not included.
He, of course, is now at USA.

Better to have 50 threads on the air raid than 100 threads on the triple option like when you joined the league, lol.

That is a concern. Though, both #1 (Neal Brown) and #3 (Tony Franklin) on that list won 4 SBC championships in 4 years.

Didn't you guys have a good QB those years??? Got to complete those passes to make this work. Not saying you guys won't have it, but if you don't, 03-hissyfit.

We did, and we have many QBs to choose from today.... Last year as a freshman QB Silvers set a NCAA freshman record for completion %

We had a JUCO guy (Omar Haugabook), a Richmond transfer (Levi Brown), and a guy who only had two FBS offers (Corey Robinson). None of these guys are in the NFL. Levi was our 3rd string QB who took over after the first two were injured in '08. Neal's system adapts very well no matter who the QB is.

Our QBs are much more talented on paper than in 2008. We'll see how good that talent shakes out soon.
