RE: "He's Just the Best ..."
Calipari IS one of - if not THE - BEST college basketball coaches right now. He has his weaknesses, but the "system" he has created for himself and the success that has come from that...on paper, he's an all-timer.

THAT BEING SAID, I agree with 80s...why does OUR coach (knowing the landscape) feel the need to go on & on about how great he is. Why not keep it short, respectful, etc. and move on.

I don't "hate" Cal. He did a lot for the program and Tiger basketball was really fun for a 4 year span...I wouldn't trade those days for anything! BUT he left in a BAD way and Josh of all people should know that - at the very least he should know that's how MOST of Tiger Nation feels.

I get showing respect for your "mentor" in the public arena, but Josh's constant need to go overboard has grown old - especially when it comes to Cal.

Some people don't like the pauses in conversations. They fill them with embellishments and/or chatter. Pastner sometimes does this.

This characteristic is actually used to make a diagnosis as to what needs strengthening when identifying weaknesses in Chinese medicine five element diagnosis--fire, water, wood, metal, earth.

" When the wood Qi is weak, people can be indecisive, without strong direction in life, and stuck. They may be constrained emotionally, unable to express anger. "

The stench of what he did as he left might never go away for some. Some very high powered people in this city are in that club. One has to admit that he is recruiting/purchasing players at a high level. If anyone here disputes that you have to be kidding. He has the arsenal of WWW, Nike, and a fan base that would commit premeditated murder to win a championship. Buying players is nothing to them. That being said, it is easy to see why Josh gushes forever on Cal since he gave him his first real gig outside of Arizona plus all of us here, for the most part, fawned on Cal when he was here like he created the heavens and earth. My only complaint would be that Josh might be missing the fact that Cal wants us to fail and gives him bad advice, in my opinion.

I can certainly appreciate this take as well.
He gets very excited when he's passionate about something.
This makes some impatient.

Nah, just find it funny that some folks rail against Calipari on the regular while holding Pastner up as some 180 representation of truth, justice, and the Tiger way - and then Pastner gushes about him publicly.

It's amusing.

lol. Liver Qi ain't doing so hot either.

"When Liver Qi is imbalanced, hot and spicy foods may cause too much heat. Excessive frustration and irritation can be especially difficult when the Liver meridian is out of balance. Physical exercise can help restore balance."

Go outside. Eat more dill pickles.
Sour and bitter flavors are said to benefit the Liver meridian.

Personally, I don't find fault with what pastner said. Not really a big deal. Plenty of reasons to criticize the guy but this may not be one of them.

*head explodes*

I'm a GREAT fan and I appreciate exactly what he did here and what he's doing now. I can be a fan of both and actually AM.

The whole "we must hate anything calipari" is really old and juvenile. I know these type folks feel like burned ex boyfriends or whatever but what Cal continues to do is truly amazing and I'm proud to have been a part of the process.

That said I also LOVE the COACH Josh Pastner. He's on track to do exactly what Cal is doing. He has it in his blood and has learned from the best. He is still putting it together obviously but Cal has down seasons too. Remember the NIT a couple years ago (please don't come back with the fact that Memphis didn't go to that this year because it is not relevant to the point. stay on topic please).

So this REAL Tiger fan's hands aren't trembling because I am exactly what you arrogantly state doesn't exist.

If folks around here would take time to step down off the high horse for a moment of two and look at the real world around them they'd realize that THE wb is not the only one.

Have a blessed Good Friday.
May Jesus' peace be a part of your life in this Holy weekend.

Do take care.

THE wb
I'm a GREAT fan

Yo if you have to tell yourself your a great fan maybe you should reevaluate that. Personally I think you are detrimental to this basketball team. You are blinded by your love for this man.

I am most certainly not detrimental to anything around this program because I SUPPORT it. Perhaps you should reevaluate why you don't know diddly about what it means to support a program.

Sure whatever you say Romeo. At least I can see when half a ship is underwater so I can jump off. Your love for JP is detrimental, without public support he has to go. That is my opinion. I am human so I could be wrong. But I would be shocked if he gets it together here. Your cheerleading of this man is so over the top ridiculous and unwarranted, I actually think you might just be trolling even though I am not 100 percent sure what that means. Basically you can't possibly believe the crap you are saying concerning Josh Pastner.

But hey you are a great fan right?

It isn't detrimental and your assertion to the contrary is positively histrionic.

You are indeed wrong. It's okay. It happens to the best of us.

I am a great fan and the fact that I support the program in a down year is testament to my love for the program. The fact that so many here are undeniably fans based upon certain conditions being met lets me know that they aren't very good fans at all because of a total lack of loyalty.

Have a blessed weekend and may you and the other poor fans out there see the error of their ways.
