Trying to watch the NIT Championship and ESPN is devoting half the screen to Michael Irvin.

The whole thing just makes me cringe.

If ESPN doesn't think the NIT is worth showing, then they should not show it.

All of you people like to talk bad about Jim Nantz.

Nantz has class.

This crap wouldn't exist in a Nantz broadcast.

The story is the kids. It is not Irvin.

I actually stopped watching it once they went to the "Michael Irvin" camera.

It was such a ploy to get the "average NFL fan" to have an interest in the NIT.

Perhaps I am the only one this bothered.

He sure looked upset when Stanford won the NIT at the free throw line.

Something has never sat right with me about "game winning free throws". Probably because the Tigers have never gotten them. I always grew up thinking "you have to make the shot or else" when the game is on the line. Call me old fashioned.

In the opening to our last Final Four game, Jim Nantz referred to our Tiger High nickname and how it upsets us. It's a coinsidence that he hasn't hosted a FedEx St. Jude golf tournament broadcast since. I've never seen him insult another school like that.
