Dewayne Hendrix
Did anyone else notice that nearly the entire football staff started following DeWayne Hendrix (@blessed_1947) today on twitter? He was a 4 star DL that played for Tennessee. He said he would transfer in December, but no where can I find where he is transferring. He did have an offer from NIU out of high school (O'fallon, IL).
He was at Pitt's practice on March 28th to observe and is being courted by multiple programs.
Here is an article about his decision to transfer.

Yes please.
Our program takes the next step when and only when we beef up our defensive line.

Having said that, the defensive line far exceeded all expectations last year. It was that inability to convert in the red zone that doomed NIU at the end of last year.

Dafuq? They won 11 games and the MAC. Nothing doomed them.

True, I'm just saying if we ever want to stand a chance against the Ohio States of the world, we can't get moved at will on the LOS.

Not sure setting the bar at the National Champions is really fair.

Speaking of the national champions, Hendrix had an offer from Ohio State...as well as Florida, Missouri, USC, Michigan St., Nebraska, Cal, Mississippi State, etc......

I have a foggy memory but this name rings a bell...think I posted on here or twitter about this guy back in December. Also IIRC one of his teammates who was also leaving is from Illinois and we had interest in him during his original recruitment.

I assume he is referring to the Boca Bowl, where the Huskies answering TDs with FGs.

Didn't someone else we get from ofallon? Tyler Loos or Pitt? Can't remember. I've been googling over the last month to see where Hendrix was going to go. This would be huge.

Tyler Loos is from Sterling, IL and Pitt was from GA. We do recruit O'Fallon, I believe we had some players from there during the Novak years.
