Indy and St. Pete looking for new Bowl Sponsors
Call me old fashion, but I wish Poulan Weedeater would come back for Indy. Maybe we could get the Russian Oil Company to sponsor St. Peter by calling it the Putin Bowl. 04-cheers

One thing I wish is Bowls would go back to having a name. I prefer the Gator bowl sponsored by Taxslayer than just the Taxslayer bowl.

As long as the St Pete Bowl is held in that ridiculous baseball stadium, it should just fold up the tent.

True but I love me some St. Pete. Desirable location holds some weight.

The idea of the Big Ten sending a bowl team to Indy in late December appeals to me more than going to Detroit or Minny.

Indy is a place I can drive to in 4 hours, spend 1 night, and go back home the next day.

it just depresses me that Chicago has no roofed stadium to hold these type of events. Dekalb should build a 30k dome stadium and have a small bowl game.

Shreveport is only a 4 hour drive for you?

With him mentioning Poulan Weedeater, he was referring to the Independence Bowl.

Well call me provincial, but I'd much rather see a bowl in Minny than Indy. 03-wink

It wouldn't surprise me to see Minneapolis involved with a bowl game or even the CFP once New Vikings Stadium opens.

CFP championship game, definitely. No different than bidding for the super bowl, just a much smaller impact.

Bowl game? Maybe. Minny has had a domed NFL stadium for years and never a bowl game before (to my knowledge). It's not usually much of a destination at that time of year.

But they could certainly try.
