So, Barnes goes to the tournament 16 out of 17 years and yet, get this, a GOOD coach like Shaka Smart is going to take the job?

According to some if we let Paz go with 4/6 we'd NEVER even get a good coach to interview for much less take our job.....

IF SS accepts the job; Boom goes the dynamite!

Representatives from Texas are in deep discussions with VCU's Shaka Smart about becoming the Longhorns' next head coach, and Texas officials will be surprised if he doesn't eventually accept an offer, a source told CBSSports.com on Wednesday afternoon.

Whether Smart will actually accept remains unclear.

But Texas officals are optimistic, a source told CBSSports.com.

Some will say that it is to be expected since they are P5. It will be interesting to see what the contract terms are. I read where the AD is not wanting to go over $3 mill. I don't believe that number is out of our reach.

The best part was the "if Texas is unable to get Smart, they will turn to Larry Krystkowiak or Chris Mack."
