RE: CUSA to extend invite to Ga Southern
CUSA looked up the number for GSU and they didn't realize the campus had moved to Atlanta, never-the-less, they got the AD on the phone and extended the offer which was immediately accepted. A press conference will be at noon today announcing the Panthers will be leaving the SB to join CUSA. Dollar bills are falling from the rafters in jubilation.

Yeah, don't worry, SBC has a backup in Coastal Carolina.

I am disappointed. I thought the SEC would extend their invitation before the mighty coosa.

Unfortunately, there was some confusion on CUSA's part and they thought they were inviting App State. Press conference has been cancelled.

Yeah, but then the CUSA members realized they meant to extend an invite to Arizona State when CUSA commissioner said he wanted "The real ASU"

Because you referenced April Fools Day in your message, you get a 3.

Had you mentioned UAB getting the boot, and a press conference in two weeks, with a link to a rick roll... You'd have gotten an 8.

Wait, this is a joke!?!?? Kidding, I think there is a decent chance our AD would pass on an invitation if one were extended. We're currently in a comparable conference to CUSA that includes our two biggest rivals. Of course the money is better in CUSA... at least for the immediate future, and money is almost always the deciding factor. In reality this is all a moot point as we aren't exactly at the top of the list of desirable candidates even if CUSA had an opening. I think we're pretty happy in the Belt.
