Yep, and the grounds for discussion are a lot weaker.

No...you didn't JR. You were talking about the discussion at hand. You tried to morph it into championship talk only.

Reports say Pitino will stay with the Gophers. May mean Bama is close to hiring someone else.

It means he didn't want to go to Alabama. His father is trying to get Louisville and Minnesota slotted to regularly compete in the Big Ten vs ACC challenge. If son went to Alabama guess what doesn't get to happen?

He didn't want to go to Alabama, period.

The ACC and SEC do not have an ACC vs SEC Challenge smart guy. Wow, that one went right over your head didn't it?

They don't just want to play against each other, they want it at the Big Ten vs ACC Challenge.

Go ahead and read the full article about the situation as well. You will see plenty of comments from Lil' Pitino about how much he likes the Minneapolis area. I bet 95% of you don't have a clue about Minneapolis. Yes, it can get cold there but once you get used to it, it is a great town.

It kills two birds for one stone...it satisfies this ACC/B1G challenge and give Louisville more flexibility in scheduling...it is also a Made for TV game for ESPN..

Now the Crimson Tide is going after the Former NBA PG/Head Coach:

Alabama will meet with ESPN analyst and former NBA coach Avery Johnson about its head-coaching vacancy Saturday night, sources told ESPN.

Johnson, 50, is from New Orleans and played in the NBA. He coached the Dallas Mavericks from 2005 to '08 and the Nets from 2010 to '12.
