The problem you describe is a common one. If you don't have an overhang (we don't), and even if you do, you will will eventually have rotting problems with any wood. Water, can't live with it, can't live without it.

If you know your neighbors, ask them if they have had door issues, and if so, who they used and how they felt about the experience. Also, ask your relatives.

I have a sister-in-law who is every service persons worst nightmare. She is detail oriented, anal, and searches out every defect/shortcoming and doesn't stop complaining until it is dealt with. If she is anywhere near pleased with the service, I know the company is good. Every family should have someone like her.

Which why in the movie "Boiler Room" rule #1 do not sell to women.
