For anyone -- unlike RitzHuskie -- who cares about Huskie history and the people that helped make it, lot of interesting items and tidbits contained in this latest column. Considering all the ties mentioned to the local community, the Daily Chronicle should start paying Korcek for his contributions.

Korcek takes some hits on this board, but this is community journalism -- for DeKalb and Sycamore -- at its finest. The whole world doesn't revolve around NIU football -- does it.

As I've stated many times on this board before, I do care for the Huskie history and the people who help make it even if it is a bit outdated. What I don't care for are many of the personal opinions he tends to throw in his articles. I'll agree to disagree on those. As long as he sticks to the subject at hand and reports facts as a journalist should do he is fine.

I knew Buck Suhr and Tommy Bell when they were here. Both really nice guys.
