No the B1G won't move the Football CG from Indianapolis, but basketball...
http://www.advocate.com/indiana/2015/03/...us-freedom
With Indiana passing Senate Bill 101 "Religious Freedom" the backlash has been swift and severe. There is a petition out that that has well over 10000 signature requesting that the B1G move the B1G championship game from Indianapolis. This IMO is just not feasible as the only other domes are in Minneapolis (when they complete the new Vikings stadium) and Detroit. There are issues with both namely Minnesota is just not central enough and even though the Detroit Renaissance is well underway, Detroit is not there yet as a host city. All remaining options would put the game outdoors which is inviting disaster in December.
The Hoops Tournament is another story entirely. There are 3 other sites on the docket right now (Chicago, New York, & DC). As we have seen with the concerted effort to push East with DC & NYC offices, the Gavitt tipoff, etc. I would almost expect the league to pull the Men's and Women's hoops tournaments entirely out of Indianapolis and rotate every other year between Midwest (Chi-town), and East Coast (NYC or DC).

They produce great engineers but I'll be darned if they arent dead weight in Football. I mean how long can you live on the legacy of Bob Greise and Drew Brees? To top it off, their hoops program hasnt been that good of late either. Got to keep a presence in Indiana so I say keep the Hoosiers and their 5 national titles in hoops. They can still be a part of the CIC, but we dont need them athletically.

For the record, I did not mean to vote to kick out Purdue. In fact, it recorded two entries for me. The poll was flawed.

Freudian slip.
P.s. I set up the poll so you can do multiple entries. And you know if we were starting from scratch... Purdue wouldn't make the cut.

Please, make it stop.
May karma find all those using this moment for personal gain.

I agree with the concept of the law, but it needs to be defined down to actual religious services, not general services.

As is the case in most other states. NJ has a freedom of religion act that allows churches to say not marry a same-sex couple, but at the same time a business cannot refuse service to someone with a homosexual orientation. What houses of worship choose to believe/not believe or do/not do (within reason) is not of public concern and scrutiny. What a business or government entity choose to do when dealing with the public is very much of public concern and scrutiny.

If the political braintrust in metro Chicago had had the sense to build either an indoor stadium or one with a retractable roof; the conference's championship events would be primarily played there due to being close to the conference HQ.
Indiana had better grow up and realize it's in the Third Millenium a Midwestern State and not Kentucky or it will be losing business from Fortune 500 companies.
For now IMO the Conference title game should move to Detroit and conference hoops tournament to Chicago. It's refreshing to see Fortune 500's and institutions like the Big 10 & NCAA act in a progressive fashion regarding social issues
