Going to the bottom of the 9th, down 8-3. Our offense just isn't the same without Corey Dick and Gavin Stupienski. We need to find a way to get the offense going without them going forward. Feight has had a better game than was probably expected of him but by and large, our offense has been abysmal today.

Leadoff single for Zach Shields. Lots of work to do to pull this off. One at bat at a time here guys.

Golden with an infield single up the middle. Runners on first and second, no outs, Justin Carroll pinch hitting for Joe Bertone.

Shields steals third. Runners on the corners. No outs.

Carroll goes down on strikes and Golden is nabbed at second in what appeared to be a failed hit and run.

Next at bat, Dunlap singles to LF and brings home Shields. 8-4, two outs.

Game over.

One last question. What in the heck is the American flag doing just blowing around out there on or near the ground in CF for? It looks like the wind was blowing hard enough to maybe blow the line off the bit, but couldn't someone go out there and fix it???

Literally watched it blow around out there near the ground for the entire bottom half of the 9th inning.

Yep we had no idea either. We thought maybe we were throwing up a white flag in it's place, lol.

Bad loss but I'll chalk it up to a midseason lull. The key for the best teams is to start strong, find out your weaknesses midseason, then finish strong.

We dropped to 48th in the RPI with this loss. Charleston is not only first in the standings, but also passes us in the RPI as well. They're ranked 43rd.

This slide needs to end ASAP.

We have several key players that need to get healthy. Hopefully that will happen by bill & the virgin weekend.

Good point Proff. We need those guys healthy so we can drop the hammer on that team from Williamsburg and their fans that seem to think "they own us".

We may see a change in our pitching rotation soon.

My guess is Ramsey moving back into the starting rotation?

Could be Roberson, but not sure.

If I had a vote I'd say we make Foster our Friday starter, move Monroe to Saturday's, and throw a freshman on Sunday's. Roberson does sound like the best choice, 33.

Evan Phillips has really struggled out there this year, which is frustrating given how good his pure stuff is/can be.
