No, that would be Fitbud who is clueless.

That same 'local media' made it clear DePaul had already hired someone. It was simply reported by a local newspaper that covers DePaul that Tim Floyd was one of the candidates. Nothing more. Of course that doesn't stop people from assuming Floyd interviewed for the job, wanted the job, etc. Nobody has reported that DePaul received permission from UTEP to talk to Floyd. It hasn't been reported that Floyd was interested. Nothing. Only that he was a candidate.

Thus the question mark behind the title. 03-lmfao03-lmfao

Funny, to me the title "Floyd to DePaul?" implies that Floyd may be going to De Paul, not that the job has already been filled by someone else.

Perhaps a lesson on what a question mark means is necessary.

Agreed, so here's your lesson.

From Oxford Dictionary:

"A question mark is used to indicate the end of a question"

So "Floyd to De Paul?" indicates that there is a question as to whether Floyd will be going to De Paul, not that he isn't because someone else was hired there days before.

You're welcome.

The long version of my question was........." I heard something about Floyd and DePaul on the radio last night. Is Floyd going to DePaul to interview?

Simple answer "NO".

But alas, I know you guys all to well.

The baseball stadium downtown?

What does that have anything to do with it?

RE: Floyd to DePaul?
So did Tim Floyd take the DePaul job yet? Or did they stick with the guy they actually hired, Dave Leitao? I'm just wondering because this ridiculous thread (that I believe was started after Leitao accepted) keeps growing.

Actually, I ended up 8th in this forum's pick em that had more than 100 entries.

Also, I was one of only 5% in the nation that picked the correct two teams to play in the tournament championship.

I also had more correct picks than many in this forum however, there was a point system that dropped me to 8th.

Not bad for someone who is clueless about basketball.

Job well done. My brackets were screwed from the moment Iowa State lost to UAB.

Thanks

Interestingly enough, I thought my bracket was busted also after two #10 seeds advanced. Somehow, I recovered nicely.

Didn't help my cause that I picked Iowa State to win in one of my brackets and to go to the Final Four in all of them... 03-banghead03-banghead
