Side Question: I know most of these tournaments at least partially take place during spring break, but how are players academics handled when they are gone for 2 or 3 weeks straight? Just curious if anybody knows.

my first thought was.... "3 game series in basketball, but an actual football playoff would keep kids away from class too much" lol

The College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Post Season Tournament started in 2008 and has always been a Best of 3 game series for the championship. With the exception of the 2010 championship, all championship series's have gone to 3 games.

2013 - Santa Clara (defeated George Mason)
2012 - Pitt (defeated Washington State)
2011 - Oregon (defeated Creighton)
2010 - VCU (defeated Saint Louis)
2009 - Oregon State (defeated UTEP)
2008 - Tulsa (defeated Bradley)

By the way, former Little Rock coach Porter Moser is now at Loyola.

We are going to really show them up crowd wise come Wednesday.

ULM looks to be more physically gifted than Loyola. IMO it is about athletes vs basketball players.

I think ULM athletes will prevail tonight.
