Southern University Director of Athletics Dr. William Broussard has been temporarily reassigned to the Southern University System Office, effective April 1.

The reassignment is a personnel matter and therefore the University can not discuss it publicly. The University will have no further comment on the subject.

I thought he looked like a good candidate. It did say he is coming back, so who knows. I am very happy with Chasse and am confident he will do well. He already made one tough decision. This next one will be tough, too, since he is getting "advice" from all directions. He may have little choice but to "go with the money", but only he knows what our financial situation is really like. I will support what ever decision he makes- we won't know for, at least, 3 or 4 years if it was the right one, regardless.
