Schools like Texas and Oklahoma want to be associated with schools that bring the academics which Tulane does. They also want a new market which Tulane brings, not only New Orleans but the entire gulf coast as well. Our athletics are vastly improved and our fanbase continues to grow every day. We have already passed by any regional "rivals" like LA Tech and Southern Miss. It is safe to say we are at the top of the list for any expansion for any conference.

As I've said, I love Tulane, but the fact of the matter is that your football and basketball programs have almost no fan support, either in the stands or on television. And that's true not just on the whole Gulf Coast, but in New Orleans itself. The Garden District and Audubon Park areas are Tulane territory, but by the time you get over to Canal Street, your in LSU territory once again.

That's the reality of the situation. You have a very hard and low cap on your potential, and it's called "LSU" and the "SEC".
