Twan Davis posted the video to Facebook on Thursday morning. The fight starts at about 1:40 into the footage.

The video shows man seated at the front of the MetroLink train can be seen talking to several young men. After a heated exchange the man wearing a red shirt and hat punches the seated man in the face. The man puts up his fists to protect himself but never leaves his seat.

The announcer says, “Next station stop, Forest Park – Debaliviere Station.”

Several other men start punching the seated man in the face. The man in red then kicks the seated man. The victim guards his face with his hands.

It’s tiresome to keep repeating “if it’d been a white mob attacking a black person, can you imagine how different the media response would be”.

But it’s still true.

Now you guys see why i don't use the Metrolink to go downtown. I'll use it to go from the nearby station to the Airport and back, but that's _it_. One of my work colleagues had this happen to him some time ago (when we first moved up here), he got robbed for his train pass, and from that point on, I swore if i had to go into downtown St. Louis, I'd pay for the parking.
