Since we owe them the money might as well use the report they were working on after we fire Ray of course.

I love it! Don't you know that Wes Smith must of hated it when Watts made him look like a fool.

"Your word is certainly sufficient"
File this under things that you should never say to anyone in a leadership position at UAB. Wes Smith must feel like an idiot! No wonder he has turned on Watts

The words highlighted appear to be the final agreement to a verbal contract, which I think you will find that under Alabama law is fully enforceable. I would think that the subsequent emails constitutes an agreement for payment for partial work performed. Watts and UAB are firmly on the hook because their lawful representative entered int the verbal contracts. (Legal scholars please feel free to comment.)

They need to make the B.O.S. pay it out of his pocket, plus the amounts UAB has to pay to buy out scheduled games.

Add in that the UAB-Kentucky 2016 football game was announced in October - and they had the Carr report in August. That's another $500 k.

I have a question. Since OSKR has been eliminated, has the Task Force engaged anyone else?

More on that at a later date.

OK, but I thought the original date for completion of the report was the first week of April. Is that right or was I mistaken?

If the ATF cannot proceed with OSKR, it would only cost the Football Foundation $55k to pay Andy for the rest of the work and publicize it, making the administration look even more stupid. That's money well spent.

You're right, but you consider Wes gave OSKR the go ahead on 3/7 and OSKR was scheduling 45 days of work (all according to the article), then realistically had Watts now squirreled the deal. realistically we were looking at the third or fourth week of April. Of course OSKR has been told that they are out, at least for the time being.

I was thinking about that earlier, but wouldn't the problem now stem from not having access into UAB anymore?

25 days. They would have been finished by the deadline.
