Calipari also stuck with that 3 guard rotation that wasn't working well for a long time. He was using lineups that hadn't played together a lot and UK was the most out of sync with each other on offense that I have seen this season. I've seen worse on defense (Georgia), but they weren't really in sync there either.

H1 there is no doubt that the Badgers played smart ball. I'm just saying that the changes made in Kentucky's approach in the last three minutes were, well, fishy. Either Calipari is a complete idiot, or something really strange happened. I'm an old man and I've never witnessed a stranger ending to a basketball game, or basketball season for a championship caliber team than this one. I'll leave it at that.

Did you not see Houston-North Carolina St.? Guy Lewis had them slow it down when they were a running team and a lousy free throw shooting team.

Calipari seemed to have too much confidence in their ability to drive the lane. You do that and kick it back out if its not there. But he ran the clock down so there was no option.

He had them slow it down because they were a virtual sea level team playing their second game in three nights at a mile of altitude and their best player (Olajuwon) was sitting on the bench gassed. Not that Guy Lewis didn't screw the pooch in that game because he made numerous strategic errors in what otherwise should have been a comfortable win.
