I don't know, but I may have a couple of buck to chip in on their lawsuit if they get found out and canned.

Funny, being a Blazer fan and a taxpayer, I'd be paying for both ends of it, but I'll take more pride in the side I supported voluntarily.

I don't want to know. But I don't want to help anyone find out by reading this post.

I wonder if it could have been BlazerViking? That is if he wasn't fired/ended up at the bottom of Smith Lake after the DC PR document leak.

If they are looking for the leak, I hope they come to Blazertalk where we will give them plenty of ideas as to who it is.

The good part is that all they can do is wait for the next blow to fall. They don't know what it is or where it will come from... but we're not going to give up, so you know there will be a next time.

There are a lot more good people than there are stooges.

RE: Al.com: Mackin's severance package
Did the language regarding "Admission of liability or guilt" strike anyone other than me? They kind of give away something to the uninitiated reader here. Admission of what kind of liability of guilt. That phrase usually means someone screwed up but we're just going to pretend it didn't happen.

Maybe Watts terminated Mackin wrongfully somehow, then created that special position and bought him out.

Pass the basket - time to take up a $7,500 collection. Or start litigation and the discovery process.

I know everyone doesn't feel that way, but I do. He could still be drawing the same salary he was and "going along to get along," but his heart wouldn't let him. I admire that.

I bet Ray Watts leaked the info. They should probably fire him.

Jon Solomon has it here: http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/writer/j...y?v=1&vc=1

Personally, I like this part: "If Mackin is notified of any judicial or agency order, inquiry or subpoena, he must immediately communicate that by phone to the University of Alabama's Office of Counsel and then later in writing so UAB has an opportunity to intervene regarding non-disclosure."

Your power of recall is half of what it should be.

I wish and hope a federal agency of some kind joins the fray, don't trust this "good ole boy" system on place here already.

I would like to see how that is worded in the agreement instead of second hand like we see it here before flipping out. I highly, highly doubt that means it has to go through Tuscaloosa (meaning UA) but instead means it has to go through the system office.

UA and the system office are functionally one when dealing with UAB

I think you're overstating it, I would imagine most at UA itself would actually rather just get this whole mess behind them. At any rate, when it comes to the counsel's office at the three campuses, they all report directly back to the general counsel at the system office.
