Chasson Randle- 6-2
Anthony Brown 6-6
Stefan Nastic 6-11
Rosco Allen 6-9
Reid Travis 6-8
Marcus Allen 6-3
Michael Humphrey started to play some mins, but then was cut back in the last game; not sure of his status.
These are the primary contributors.
Randle is clearly the teams leader and best player. Him, Nastic, and Brown take the majority of the teams shots. They are the high usage players. Randle takes a ton of 3 and is a pretty good shooter (36%).These three are also very good free throw shooters. Randle is more of a scoring guard, but plays the point. Kinda like a Dvauntes Smith Rivera. He is a very good scorer, but there is zero chance he will be able to guard Freeman if that's who they match him up with.
Although, this point is disputed by another knowledgable poster on here, but I don't believe they are a good rebounding team. Of players that see time, Travis is their best rebounder at 14% and Nastic is 2nd at 13%.
They are a pretty bad defensive team as a group.
Reid Travis is a6-8 240 pound guy. Big dude with a long wingspan. Traditional power forward. He is kinda like their version of Taylor as he doesn't hit jump shots.
Nastic is the big slow 7 footer. Decent finisher at the rim, but not a rim protector and gets exposed if he has to come out of the lane. Not a great rebounder despite his size...kinda like a mini Brook Lopez.
Anthony Brown made a huge leap last year. NBA size and traditional wing player/outside shooter.
Marcus Allen is more of a defender.
Robert Cartwright is a traditional PG off the bench. Wasn't very good this year.
Rosco Allen is a lean 6-9 forward that can shoot from 3. He is a terrible rebounder for a guy 6-9.
Christian Sanders is a 6-4 combo guard. Hes been terrible.
They are a talented team with length that haven't been able to put it together for whatever reason. I've heard some whispers that its poor coaching from Dawkins. They are certainly going to be the more athletic/taller team with more length. We are going to have to bully them around and make it a battle. Our ability to stop Nastic in the paint without doubling him may be key here. There rebounding stats as a team look better than their individual numbers, but we should have an advantage on the boards.
We may have to see more Douglas if the length of their wings give us trouble. They really don't guard the perimeter well so our ability to knock down shots will be tested.
