The best running back you don't know about.......
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/23934...eem%20Hunt

If he sticks around for the next two years, he will probably go down as the best running back in UT history surpassing Chester Taylor.

RE: The best running back you don't know about.......
From the article:

As Hunt transitions from his stiff-arm greatest hits to his dreams of the NFL—a dream he says he has had since he was born—he breezes past the possibility of reaching 2,000 yards. He doesn't avoid the possibility, and we do the math together. Had he stayed healthy last season, he would have been well over 2,100 yards.

"If I get there, I get there," he says.

Instead, he wants to talk about his offensive line, which is undergoing a reboot at this very moment. Across the line are new faces, one of the team's primary concerns now given the way this group performed over the past few years. This spring is all about settling in.

"I'm going to take them under my wing, coach them up and give them some experience," Hunt said. "This is the time of year where we gain our confidence."

If he runs for 2,000+ yards behind a line featuring five new starters, he will deserve every accolade that comes his way.

Coach Campbell said the backups on the OL got alot of playing time lsat season. The late Bowl game also gave them additional work that they would not usually have had.Storm Norton was a starter for a number of games last season. Kassem (JUCO) has plenty of game experience. Carter actually started some for FSU and was a Top 30 player at his position coming out of HS. This will be one of Toledo largest OL's.

That's really nothing unusual for the MAC is it?

BG's (6'4" 303 Average):

J. Bennett 6-5 332
B. Steward 6-6 300
A. Huettel 6-4 309
T. McAuliffe 6-0 274
L. Dietz 6-6 298

Bonus for BG is that these 5 started every game last year and all return this season.

Even if he has to take a game or two off, there are 4 more guys ready to step in and run the football.

That's nice, but we're talking about him and being the best. If he isn't playing due to always being banged up, that diminishes his rating.

That's what we had last year. BG also gets an injured RB back, right? Should be a banner year offensively for the Falcons with a QB who is a throwing threat and a veteran line with an elite back.

Don't specifically remember any running backs that were injured for the whole season. They return the that entire position as well with Greene, Coppet and Givens. Greene and Coppet were injured off an on a spell last year but were back for the bowl game.

They did have one of their top WR's out the whole year though in Chris Gallon who is expected to return to full strength this year. And adding in transfer Robbie Rhodes from Baylor to a returning staff of Ryan Burbrink, Gehrig Dieter, Roger Lewis and Ronnie Moore, I don't know how they're going to have enough balls to throw to them! 03-lol

As usual...the key to any big success will be the defense.

The QB battle will also be interesting. Matt Johnson will be back from his injury and it should be a stiff competition with Knapke and the highly touted recruit James Morgan. Morgan will most likely redshirt though.

They might score 40+ a game, but they'll likely give up just as much!

Greene is the guy I was thinking of. I knew he missed some time, but thought he lost most of the year. Keep Morgan handy, we were using a senior wideout at QB last year.

Travis Greene was hurt in the Akron game and then missed the next two versus Kent and Toledo...probably the only reason they lost to Toledo. 03-wink

Seem to win the year before at BG, the Falcons with Greene and Johnson.
