Super, there are only three young men who will be seniors next year.

Sounds like UB is pretty smart in knowing the positive image a winning program means to their bottom line that nets free publicity, attracts more students which increases revenue, and pays for the program.....win-win scenario.

I read that Butler's back to back final four increased their admission applications in the neighborhood of 30-40%

If and when EMU is able to hire a young and promising coach, we need to take note on how UB managed the situation.

Braun left EMU cupboards loaded but bad hire after bad hire dismantled our once promising tradition.

I can't wait for Heather Lykes next hire when Murphy is gone next season or the following season when his contract expires.

Murphy ball failed!!!!

What's with you.

Neither Murphy or Verdi are going anywhere. Some posters have too much time on their hands.... And hatch unlikely scenarios....

BTW, a month ago I suggested Verdi be extended based on his excellent coaching under trying times.

ADs don't spend every living hour trying to replace coaches.

I agree with everyone on this. If EMU wants to be relevant again, Murphy needs to be gone. It's worse than apathy, people HATE his coaching and his lack of recruiting. He is lazy and does the bare minimum. The empty arena is proof. Come on, it's not rocket science.

I would love to see Ben Braun back. I'd love to see us make a really good offer for Dane Fife.

Some of what you say is true ie bare arena however Murphy has two more years on his contract at EMU. Deal with it. I'm not a great fan of Murphy's recruiting but Alvano and Bond weren't household names yet I do see solid potential with both. And yes even though Murphy's team had what 7 newcomers he was able to mold them into a fairly effective unit for times during the season.

Murphy and staff know the pressure is on them to deliver a recruiting class that move EMU forward. Trust me they know.

By the way Stone received third team Class B from Steve Bell the second team had a lot of juniors. Lots of solid players in Class B in Michigan this year.

Sir, EMU has the least donor contributions for '13 / '14 in the MAC. We can't toss an extra 250K around.

We couldn't afford one post season tourney game. Maybe men and women might still be playing if they had home games.... La-Monroe is playing for the CBI title and I bet So Miss would not have liked a trip to Ypsilanti.

We also have very poor endowment.

So playing in an nearly empty arena means more wins?03-zzz
