PATHETIC: Senate Votes Down Obama’s $4 Trillion Budget Plan 1-98
Dem Sen. Tom Carper Was The ‘Voice Of Reason’…

The Chosen One got one, yep one, vote for his budget. Even fellow Dems know his budgets are a joke. What a great leader.

Quote: The Senate on Tuesday destroyed any lingering hope President Barack Obama might have had for passing his budget plan through Congress this year, by voting down Obama’s plan 1-98.

The only senator to vote for the plan was Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.).

Obama’s budget plans have not fared well in Congress, and in fact Democrats have not even tried to present them each year when members consider various budget plans. That has forced Republicans to call up a version of Obama’s plan to get a sense of how much Congress supports Obama’s plan.

In the last few years, Democrats have protested that these attempts are not real votes on Obama’s budget plans. But those arguments seemed mostly designed to allow Democrats to vote against it with Republicans and spare Obama from seeing his budget plans go down year after year.

In recent years, versions of Obama’s plans have failed in the House without getting a single vote from any Democrat. This week, the House is expected to skip the ritual of voting on Obama’s plan, but it was picked up in the Senate this year.[…]

Still, the vote is a sign of worse things to come for Democrats this week. By the end of the week, both the House and Senate are likely to have passed plans that balance the budget within a decade, thanks to $5 trillion in cuts to planned spending over that period.

Actually I believe that's a 100% improvement over the farce this band of merry travelers put forth last time around. And the prior 4 before that.

So, zerO's making strides!

Perhaps by 2065 he'll actually have enough votes to pass his first budget! 03-lmfao

Most unserious and incurious president in my life time. By far.

Even the diehard Dem leftists couldn't bring themselves to vote for his budget. What a joke of a President. Any budget he proposed would have one purpose.....help destroy America. That is is goal.

Joe Biden is from Delaware - clearly that explains where the 1 vote came from.

How it's spent may be different, but I've heard the Republican budget is about the same total. If they are serious they should cut $250billion out of their proposal.

Is there any real difference between $4 Trillion and $3.975 Trillion?

They're not serious. That's problem #1.
Problem #2 is that $250 billion is not even a pimple on the butt of the problem.

$250 billion x 4 years is $1Trillion. What I suggest is like a frog in a pot of water. Gradually shutdown BS government programs and people won't even notice. A $3Trillion budget will have to be examined closer for waste but could probably be cut another $500billion.

If they were serious, that would work. If they were serious, we wouldn't be where we are today.
