I saw a tweet yesterday saying Hayes and Millinghaus are transferring from Southern Miss. I didn't know about Richmond transferring from MTSU.

SMiss had 2-3 players ruled ineligible at start of season & a couple more left during the season. In one game this year they had 6 scholly players available and actually ended the game with 4 guys on the court after 2 fouled out...

Fr PG DJ Jones, who lit up UAB at Bartow, stepped into the prominent PG role toward the end of the season and is obviously the starter going into next year. Richmond, also PG, saw the writing on the wall..

UTEP's Hunter may go pro...

I'm assuming those two marshall guys graduated? Otherwise there is nowhere to go as a red shirt junior, right?

RE: Realistic Expectations for BBall Next Year?
I think we will be better team. We had great runs in the tournament and in our conference and in our home games. However we continued to have a bad road record including four very bad road losses (over 200 RPI teams) even late in Feb/March. Even if we stay in new CUSA the league is so weak that our RPI will fall during league play and because of our showing we will have a hard time scheduling OOC top 100 RPI teams and the few we get will be on the road which is very hard and obviously is not our strength

IMHO I think we will be better with at least a 20+ win record. But will fall just short of the higher RPI and general standard needed by Mid-majors to make an at large bid. The season will depend if we can win the conference tournament again.

I hope he enjoyed his time in Birmingham for the tournament! Someone is going to get a great young player.

I believe if we have some nice wins OOC and finish as regular season champs or runner up, we can get an at large as long we don't get bounced early in the CUSA Tourney. I believe the committee may give us the benefit of the doubt if we're on the bubble due to our performance this year.
