Roadrunner and Dunkin Donuts
Seeing a report on twitter that Roadrunner and Dunkin have donated to the new stadium. Anyone have any more details?

Saw the same thing on Twitter. Rumor to be an announcement Wednesday with Fulmer on hand.

Knowing them they'll just keep on complaining even though the dust has already settled.

Splendid news! ETSU supporters have been seriously clutch lately: footing some of the bill for Murry's dismissal and now writing this check.

After a decade of running a marathon in the wrong direction, we're on the right course.

With no real inside info my suspicion is this isn't the last oversized check we'll be seeing on the news from area businesses. I fully expect something out of Eastman, Bank of Tennessee, Bristol Motor Speedway, Landair Transportation, and perhaps others. I'd love to see some of the major players in the restaurant industry get involved, and they work around the Aramark contract.
Regardless, today was a good day for ETSU. When's the last time they've had a presentation like that for a check that big?

Scott Niswonger is already heavily involved in the football effort. There are several other major donations already in house but will be announced as the campaign progresses so that each donor will get full recognition in the media and of course keep the university in front of the public.

Agree with those previously mentioning it, you have to assume there are more donations in the stable or in the near future of at least that size. After all, if this were the largest single donation, you would think it would be accompanied with the naming rights.

Perhaps General Shale and MSHA

A very smart way to do it. The donors all need recognition for their gifts and each deserve a special day of their own to make the announcement. The gratitude of everyone associated with the University is immense.

Perhaps General Shale and MSHA

General Shale I'm 100% sure they'll do something, just don't know what. I'm sure that depends on their finances. Same with MSHA though I don't know. They had a few distressed hospitals from what I've heard so they may do a little, but not seven figures. Plus aren't they still in play to get Wellmont (I can't believe the Joint Commission and SEC is going to allow that, but technically there's only one hospital in each city so they get through on a loophole).
Either way, I want it to get done and put to bed as soon as possible, and maybe some preliminary planning can begin on either a major renovation to Freedom Hall, one that would eliminate JCS from using it for anything, or two, a functional renovation with pre planning for the new arena/convention center. Nashville did this with Greer Stadium a few years back when they replaced the seats and pieced together a scoreboard and upgraded luxury suites. It gave them just enough to get by until they could secure the deal to build First Tennessee Park.

General Shale is fighting to not file bankruptcy. Someone on here may know more than me, but they are struggling.

Same with Mountain States.

General Shale seems to be involved in ETSU basketball, when we were in the A-Sun they sponsored the A-Sun tournament, last year they sponsored the SoCon tournament. As for MSHA, yeah they can't seem to find money to hire people to staff their hospitals but they seem to have plenty to buy/build new ones.

General shale has already said they will donate all the bricks for the stadium. Don't be surprised if Food City makes a large donation.
