Jindal came in with a near $1B budget surplus. He now leaves having to plug a $1.6B deficit...and he's used one-time revenues to plug nearly $1B budget deficits the last two years. The reason for the deficit is not solely due to a decline in oil prices. Even if oil prices remained aroud $90-$100 a barrel, we still would be looking at a $1B deficit.

It's past time for him to resign. It's time for the legislature, who also share a blame in this mess, to do the dirty work and balance the budget and for Piyush to just sign off on the balanced budget and then really hit that presidential campaign trail.

I think there are a few more non-sequiturs and nonsensical personal attacks that can be fit into this thread before the normal and constant offenders go away and this thread dies due to a lack of conservative interest in having legitimate debates on this messageboard. This place has reverted back to the cesspool it was and it's not really worth visiting.
