It seems like ever since that 12-13 team that went undefeated in C-USA lost in to Michigan State by 22, Pastner has been in the Memphis doghouse

It was embarrassing, but last year's crushing lost to Virginia is what really got people's attention.

It doesn't help Pastner that Calipari is kicking butt and taking names.

The guy played and coached for Lute Olsen. He may not be there at 37, but damn I bet he's gonna be a hell of a coach at 50.

Pastner might leave on his own now, if he gets the right opportunity.

Yep, this is what I do not get.what coach would want to go there, the fans seem to expect a final four every year, yet they have only been to one in their history. Makes no sense.
So would Greg Marshall go to Cincy if the opportunity presented itself?
Doubt it, just read an article about him, doubt he leaves Wichita unless its for a no brainer huge job, Texas, North Carolina etc.

You be shocked to know Greg Marshall does have interest in the Memphis job.

I could see Marshall leaving for Memphis over Cincy. He has publicly stated he would only leave Wichita St. for a school who's main focus is basketball. Texas is a special case since they have the history and resources to focus on both. If I was a Memphis fan I would be hoping Marshall decides he wants to finish his run with Baker and Vanvleet and the Memphis job comes open next year.

Many times over. Heck, the guy started at $900k and is up to $2.7 million per.

Hes been getting killed all season in the press (with articles expressly stating that maybe it's best that he go) and by the fans. Every word of his, every act, now brings some sort of snide comment from some sector. Gary Parrish said that it's all taken a toll, not just on him, but also on his wife. Too bad really, Pastner is a great guy. Couldn't find a better human being. But this isn't working for him at Memphis. Pastner played for Arizona. I hope he gets the job.

...ASU was 18-16 overall this season, 9-9 in the Pac-12 and lost at Richmond in overtime in the second round of the NIT after winning at UConn.

If the Sun Devils move on Sendek, a number of names have already emerged as possible candidates, including Memphis coach Josh Pastner

Arizona St. a huge downgrade? It's the PAC 12.

Exactly. It's rare that an outsider gets it, congrats!
