AZ fan here, if JP goes to ASU it is a HUGE step down and I am not being biased because ASU is our rival. They have an apathetic fan base for basketball and only draw a decent crowd when we play there (I think they average about 4,000 fans other than our annual game there) Memphis is one of the best destinations for a coach IMHO with tons of upside. Oh, did I mention, ASU will not pay anywhere near the Memphis pay scale. And last, good luck out recruiting Sean Miller, not gonna happen at ASU.

We don 't care about Sean Miller ,Arizona , Arizona State or anything else you have to say. We just want Pastner to leave.

'We?' Who appointed you as my spokesman? Speak for yourself, because you sure as hell don't speak for me.

You don't think a new coach would keep Keelon Lawson? You don't think the guys who have considered transferring away from Josh wouldn't be thrilled to stay here and play for a legit coach?

What fantasy land are you living in? 99.9% of what you said is ridiculous.

Wrong
It is. You will have more players transfer than what were going to transfer. We might actually have 2 losing seasons.

Absolutely impossible to state something like this with any hint of being factual without knowing who the replacement would be.

Simply not true...unless you are referring to players like Hawkins, Manse, Cunningham that don't belong on this roster in the first place.

RE: Pastner To Arizona State?
It doesn't matter at this point - whenever Pastner leaves it probably means players transferring, and that's just part of how it all transpires. That's a coaching change in college basketball.

It's a possible eventuality, whether this year, next year or 5 years from now.

This sounds like fear tactics from a few posters.

RE: Pastner To Arizona State?
If Pastner leaves, it's his choice. Not some fan on a message board.

If players leave, then that's their choice.

Quit trying to put the blame on message board posters dude.

That's pretty weak, even by your standards.

How much fun would it be to hear Bill Walton talk about Pastner in those late night PAC12 games?

Pastner's players might leave when he does but the new coach will probably bring players and recruits with him. Those players could be as good better or worse who knows.

I wouldn't want to be the guy that got fired from a non-P5 school. The next job ya get after that is UTEP (or similar)

Make the move and get 4 more years at a P5 school.

If I was a coach that was feeling the pressure I'd take the best job I could get period...odds are he doesn't have much time left here cause unfortunately he just doesn't have IT...Fuente should be getting his salary anyway.
