The whole phenomena of committing to a school to jump start your recruiting process boggles me.

I think Cluley is from NJ, is it him?
How about the QB now RB that starts with a W :>)
I think you mean Mike Yankovich. That would be correct.
Now who is the Head Coach at Don Bosco, and what is his connection to Tribe Football?

I had to look up the answer, SF. Didn't recall coach's son was a Tribe safety.

RE: 2016 Football Recruits
From BC bio:
Greg C. Toal, born January 6, 1980?enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences with a major in English?a member of the 2001 BIG EAST all-academic team?Greg is the middle of Susan and Greg Toal?s three sons; his older brother Mike is a defensive back at William & Mary; his father was a very successful high school football coach and now serves as assistant coach at Ramapo.
Another article:
After they completed high school, Toal drove to almost every one of his sons’ college football games — Mike played at William & Mary, and Greg and Brian at Boston College — never stopping on the long drives, no matter who needed to use the bathroom.
From the time he could walk, Brian Toal was in prep school locker rooms, observing two-a-day practices, attending football summer camps and cheering Greg Toal -- his father and favorite coach -- and his two older brothers to state football titles in New Jersey.
OK so Coach Greg & sons Mike, Greg & Brian (also did/may coach at Don Bosco with dad).
I need a remedial reading course :>)

No clue, but I'm guessing that we aren't a front runner. My money says he either jumps at an FBS offer or he sticks with JMU.

+1....Rivals now reports Williams as the first 2016 commit for UCONN (a "soft verbal" to boot, so, JMU must have been an even softer verbal)....Ex UVA and now UCONN QB coach Wayne Lineburg sold him the "you'll be the face of the program" line.....somehow I'll bet he ends up attending a few college homes before he's done.

This young man is doing all he can to raise his stock. His "soft verbal" has grown to a visit to ODU and a "strong comment" that he would seriously consider ODU if they offered. He's not done... $20 says he keeps jumping until he finally signs with UVA or some other ACC program. He ain't coming here.

The terrible league that Shamir Bearfield couldn't get burn in?

Touche. We hang around JMU fans a lot, and occasionally it rubs off. The Dukes, of course, would kill to be in your league.

Not sure why a Temple fan has any interest in W&M's 2016 potential recruits, but welcome.
It's possible hktribefan meant the AAC is a lower tier FBS conference and his point about UConn being a bottom feeder program in that conference is indisputable. Or, maybe he simply thinks the AAC sucks.
Bearfield was injured--as a true freshman--during the preseason so I'm not sure his lack of playing time had anything to do with lack of talent. Maybe he couldn't get the practice reps needed to usurp your starting CBs. Makes too much sense. Furthermore, he stated he left Temple for numerous reasons and I doubt very seriously an inability to cover SMU's receivers was one of them.

RE: 2016 Football Recruits
UConn is definitely a bottom feeder, and I was implying that the AAC is a not very good football conference. I admit that maybe I was hasty and to presumptuous, so I just did a quick look at some stats. Jeff Sagarin has a rating for conferences overall, now he splits divisions out with this ranking, so there are 18 "conferences" on his list of FBS. The AAC ranks 14th, ahead of the MAC-East, Sun Belt, Mountain West-West, and and C-USA-West. I have no desire to dig through the records of all of the AAC teams, but figured I'd see how the top teams fared last year. Three teams finished in a tie for first, Memphis, Cincinnati, and UCF. Memphis went 2-2 OOC with wins against Austin Peay and MTSU, and losses to UCLA and Ole Miss. Cincy also went 2-2, beating Toledo and Miami (OH), and falling to Ohio State and Miami (FL). UCF also went 2-2 with wins over Bethune-Cookman and BYU, and losses to Penn State and Mizzou. Looking at bowl season, the AAC went 2-3 last year. Memphis beat BYU and Houston beat Pitt; UCF lost to NC State, Cincy lost to Va Tech, and ECU lost to Florida.
So to sum up, I guess the AAC isn't a "terrible" league, but not very good and quasi mediocre at best is probably an apt assessment. Apologies if I've offended the loyal faithful of the AAC's finest. Now back to Tribe 2016 recruiting.
