As of right now in this early part of the season, here are the baseball standings:

T1. Texas State (6-3)

T3. Louisiana Lafayette (5-3) .5 game back
T3. Texas Arlington (5-3) .5 game back
T5. South Alabama (5-4) 1 game back
T5. Georgia State (3-2) 1 game back
7. Arkansas-Little Rock (4-4) 1.5 games back
8. Troy (4-5) 2 games back
9. Louisiana Monroe (2-4) 2.5 games back
10. Arkansas State (2-6) 3.5 games back
11. Appalachian State (2-7) 4 games back

Just for comparison-sake, here is the average place of opponents each team has played thus far. Thankfully we play a balanced schedule this year so at the end of the season this will be a moot point.

T2. Appalachian State (3.67)

I was just saying that the comment was about southern not playing anybody yet (in conference).

We have Texas tonight . . . . And asterisk this weekend. . . . .

This early in conference play, if you have swept a conference opponent then that conference opponent won't have a good record.

AState plays at Murray State Today and hosts Southeast Missouri in a makeup game Wednesday. Pretty important that we figure out how to get wins out of these games, and at least get confidence back heading down to ULL. We really cannot afford to lose that series.
