RE: UAB vs UCLA - game thread
The ball just bounced UCLA's way today. Even on tipped passes, near steals, the ball found its way often to an open player from UCLA for a layup.

Officiating wasn't completely balanced, especially the first half and most of the second half. It definitely impacted our style and one of our top players (Mehinti) was very limited by fouls. He was our best shot at competing in the post. UCLA was hitting everything in the paint, jumpshots or layups it didn't matter. The game was closer most of the time than the score would indicate, but it doesn't really matter in the end.

Overall I can't be disappointed in this team. Far exceeded expectations. We lose one player who played significant minutes (CJ Washington), otherwise we return something like 90% of our offense from this year. Excited about the future with this bunch. I feel pretty certain this won't be their last NCAA tournament.

So proud of this team.

We're going to be hell on wheels next year.

They shoulda worn the "Birmingham" unis. You can't break the mojo at this stage of the game.

We were the lower seed. We didn't have a choice.

UCLA wore white. Gold would've worked as a road uni. Seen it done a thousand times.

Our road unis are green. Besides, we beat Tech in the conference tourney and ISU in green.

Excellent season. It's not easy to win a NCAA tournament game.
