RE: Ellis Should be Kicked Off the Team for Good
Ellis did great on the court today, especially in the face of dirty tactics from UK. Off the court he continues to be a law abiding kid working towards a degree. Good for him. He's come a long way and I hope he keeps progressing.

He really did. And I will definitely say that I was wrong about thinking Cal wouldn't coach his guys to go after him because they certainly did. Kudos to Ellis for maintaining, but that does not absolve him.

I don't think he'd expect absolution for the tech. He knows he let himself, the team and the fans down.

I think he learned from it and we got the benefit of it today. He did very well with the crap UK was doing to him. It was pretty obvious that Cal told them to go after him especially in the second half. He did not budge and did not crack.

I wanted to commend Ellis for how he played and handled himself yesterday.

Earlier in this thread I said I didn't think he should get to play against UK because he let his team down with Purdue game ejection.

But since he did get to play I think he did a great job not responding to the baiting UK players were doing in the 2nd half and sticking up for himself while they were doing it. And he did it without retaliating.

at church today, in Kentucky, I overheard a lady saying how she hated Ellis of UC for his wanting to fight with the kentucky players. i HAD TO TELL her that the replays during the game showed Ellis doing absolutely nothing and the Kentucky players pushing and taunting. I reminded her of the previous game, getting a mouth bloodied from the Purdue center and no calls from the refs. She didn't really know what to say about it then.
Ellis needs to just realize that just by being a bearcat, that he'll not get many breaks from the refs and to just take it out on the opponents with a great play instead of shoving or swinging.

I thought Ellis played a heck of a game against UK and this with half the UK frontcourt over/on his back regularly.

This was a foul on Jared Swopshire of Louisville when Cousins gives him a forearm to the face. link

I firmly believe that there's a strong correlation between overt religiosity and obliviousness to the hypocrisy of one's own unchristian behavior.

UK fans are mad at Judd now, "she isn't our spokesperson".
