Though I consider the AAC to be a rival for CUSA; "SMU getting Beat"? By whom? I saw the game and there was no goaltending! Only a referee calling Goal tending on an AIRBALL by Alford! SMU Got Screwed; and UCLA should not have even been invited to the tournament! Their appearance stole a position for Old Dominion, and UCLA's stolen Victory will validate the Committee's selection of UCLA.

but Western never was in a conference with SMU

Couldn't happen to more egotistical conference.

I thought it was a good call. The SMU defender impeded the ball as it was still on its downward path just above the rim. It may have ultimately ended up being an airball, or it could have possibly ended up grazing the rim. We'll never know, because the ball was tipped as it was coming down.

The entire ball is above the level of the ring and has the possibility,

going by that it was a bad call because while the side of the ball was above the rim the bottom was below it when touched

I'm happy because my UCLABruins won.

Wish it was someone other than UCLA though. They didn't even belong in the tourney to begin with.

Tough way to lose an NCAA Tournament game. Amazed at the various observations of whether or not that was goaltending . Felt bad for the kid they called that on.
