We lost because of the way we played in the last minute, not because of that (AWFUL, HORRIBLE) call

Controversial? Picture shows the ref got it right,it was on downward trajectory. Still a heart breaking way for any team to lose a game.

Ball has to have a chance of going in for it to be a goaltend

I was going to be pissed if you just lost, but since you got screwed I'm actually much angrier.

Do I think it would have gone in? Probably not, but the rule is a chance to go in. By hitting one the downward arc and before it hits the rim will draw goaltending every time. I thing the weird thing about this call, I don't remember seeing a three point goal tend before. Not saying it doesn't happen but typically it is a short range jumper that gets slapped away on the way down or rebound. I can say that's the first three I can remember to see goal tended.

I would have preferred to lose by double digits than to let it end that way - a questionable ref call, unforced turnover, two misses by Nic Moore. Yikes!

The rule is very clear. The ball must have chance to go in. The ball did not have a chance to go in. That is NOT debateable unless the ball was going to defy the laws of physics. It was a bad call. Sorry SMU. You had one stolen from you.

This has not been a good year for the AAC.

That is not the rule. Must be all of: (a) downward path, (b) completely above the level of the rim with a chance to go in, or touching the rim. Ball wasn't touching the rim, wasn't near the cylinder, had no chance of going in. It was not a goaltend.

Uh yeah, we were the clear cut front runner for the access bowl and we choked games we should have won
