I have a guy that works for me that is a significant Pitt booster. I was in Pittsburgh last week with him and he gave me an earful about Dixon. Apparently, they hate Jamie Dixon, say he can't coach or recruit and want to get rid of him. He said that Pitt's basketball games have become irrelevant since they moved to the ACC. I just had to laugh listening to his comments. I always thought Dixon was a good coach.

They hate Jamie Dixon. He honestly sucks.

In terms of experienced guys, he's one of the more overrated coaches out there.

the problem is that outside of Pitt students and alums, basketball just isn't that big in the city.

The pro-Pastner fans should love Dixon. Since 2003-04, he has only missed the NCCAt twice. Isn't simply making the NCAAt all it's about?

I've never been a fan of Dixon and would be extremely disappointed if we ever made him an offer.

It wouldn't be an upgrade at all from where we are now as a program. In fact, it might actually be a half-step down.

Can't argue there. Whenever Pitt makes "the dance," I never advance them further than the round of 32. I know even it they made it to a sweet 16, they wouldn't go further than that.

I'm not saying I'm a Dixon fan, but he has made 2 S16's and an E8 at least.

He has talent and does nothing with it.

During the past six years he has won 2 NCAA games, but he did win the CBI one year.

What's with all the Jamie Dixon talk? He's not coming here and we shouldn't want him.

Sounds like he'd at least be used to the "fans" on this board....

About 10 schools like their current coach and the rest either are undecided or hate their current coach.

It's news to me that Pitt boosters and the fan base hates Dixon and wants to get rid of him.
