Northeastern vs Notre Dame
Huskies hanging tough: down 31-27 at half. Pretty close the whole way.
Do the CAA proud!

Mehhh- I don't root for this version of the CAA. I want to see CAA teams lose and lose big (except JMU) so the admin and fans have no excuse to stay in the CAA because it's a great league... Because it just isn't.

I want the CAA to do well, but I still want to leave.

So go Northeastern, and go SBC/MAC/CUSA

I hate the laissez faire, reactive decision makers as much as anyone. That said, I really thought this thread would go beyond the first response before it turned into admin bashing.03-banghead

lol. I was impressed as well. But, I do get it. If NE goes on a run, I could see people saying "the CAA is back". No, no it isn't.

I wouldn't really say "I want to see CAA teams lose and lose big (except JMU) so the admin and fans have no excuse to stay in the CAA because it's a great league" is "admin bashing." Everyone on this board is so f'ing sensitive. "Ahhh man you guys complain too much." "Ahhh man the complainers of the complainers are now complaining" You started this thread (assuming you won't start one for all 16 games today) because the game related to the CAA. Old dawgs response was related to the CAA. 03-banghead

In an attempt to not derail the thread. I have Notre Dame in the Elite 8 so I'm hoping the catch the luck of the Irish in the second half.

EDIT: I just threw more fuel into the out of control wild fire. I apologize.

typifies a lot of attitudes on this board. lets root for failure so we can prove we were right about: admin, coaches, league, facilities, conference, etc.

you ever work with someone who for them nothing is ever right? they have all the answers, they know better and could do better then what the company is doing? pure corporate cancer. generally, they don't have a clue and you get them out as quickly as you can.

lets hope our league does terrible, our teams and coaches fail, that fund raising plummets, that our stadium attendance dwindles, that we don't build new facilities. Now that is the way to attract a new conference, coach, administrators.

I hear these are our most passionate fans. well, misdirected passion can be worse than no passion at all. I have seen it in the corporate world and I see it here.

RE: Northeastern vs Notre Dame
NE had a chance to tie or take the lead as the game wound down and I thought saw where the ball was stripped away....looks like ND will win now.

CAA will go 0-5, but 4 of the 5 losses will have been by 4 points or less, with three road games, one home and one neutral. I think the conference acquitted itself well. Losses to Notre Dame, Tulsa, Vermont, Sam Houston and SC Upstate, all good teams. Proves that my observations were valid at least with regard to the quality of the league. I know the naysayers will view it differently, especially if they don't analyze it thoroughly.

ugh..I hate to say it, but records speak louder than perceptions. The conference most certainly did not acquit itself well in that area. It has nothing to do with negative naysayers....

0-5 looks like crap. Even if it isn't the stinkiest crap, its still ugly.

NE did look very good, so at least we looked OK on the big stage.

How thoroughly do you need to analyze 0-5??? SC Upstate, Vermont, Sam Houston......seriously?

Just another reason why JMU would be smart to follow the FBS football trail.......the CAA is DOA.
