Mehhh- I don't root for this version of the CAA. I want to see CAA teams lose and lose big (except JMU) so the admin and fans have no excuse to stay in the CAA because it's a great league... Because it just isn't.

typifies a lot of attitudes on this board. lets root for failure so we can prove we were right about: admin, coaches, league, facilities, conference, etc.

you ever work with someone who for them nothing is ever right? they have all the answers, they know better and could do better then what the company is doing? pure corporate cancer. generally, they don't have a clue and you get them out as quickly as you can.

lets hope our league does terrible, our teams and coaches fail, that fund raising plummets, that our stadium attendance dwindles, that we don't build new facilities. Now that is the way to attract a new conference, coach, administrators.

I hear these are our most passionate fans. well, misdirected passion can be worse than no passion at all. I have seen it in the corporate world and I see it here.

That attitude is why JMU is ready to join the big time.......cut throat athletics where winning is everything. Who can blame you with that gorgeous stadium sitting there.....begging for some relevant football Saturdays.

The almighty CAA went 0-5 in postseason play. In case you were thinking this would ever be more than a one bid league, can you finally give up that ghost?

Is this really your takeaway after NE hung with #3 Notre Dame until the final buzzer? Gimme a break, man. Take a Zoloft.

Tough to argue with that stat. Ouch

I can argue with that stat. Stats need context.

CAA has as many wins in the NCAA tournament as the Big 12.

like I said above.

our league champ had the ball with 20 seconds to play and a chance to beat big bad ND and half the folks here see that as a failure.

why? because it doesn't fit their narrative of the CAA sucking. Honestly, wouldn't have surprised me if W&M gave a similar NCAA performance.

Uhhhh- all I was trying to do was let people know Northeastern was hanging tough. They are a conference mate, one that we have no animosity towards. I was happy & proud for them. Yet oddly, that seems weird to some people. Go figure.

CAA will go 0-5, but 4 of the 5 losses will have been by 4 points or less, with three road games, one home and one neutral. I think the conference acquitted itself well. Losses to Notre Dame, Tulsa, Vermont, Sam Houston and SC Upstate, all good teams. Proves that my observations were valid at least with regard to the quality of the league. I know the naysayers will view it differently, especially if they don't analyze it thoroughly.
84, love your basketball posts, but we aren't buying what you are selling. The CAA is not good this year. In fact it is bad. When your league has a losing record in OOC games for the entire year you can't claim that going 0-5 in postseason is a good thing.

It is just affirmation of what we already knew. Other conferences are better. You can't explain away the won - loss record.
You are what your record says you are.

Do we even have anyone in the CAA that we have animosity towards (non-football)? This is a sad.
