What would the press conference accomplish? Would it change anyone's mind about him or this season?

There should be a presser saying that they are backing Josh 100% or that they are going a different direction and Josh is being let go.. One way or the other there should be something.. The paper outlet is horse manure and the fans deserve better!!

Hell, no.

The minority that create dozens of new threads each day to cajole, castigate, criticize, and denounce Pastner are simply seeking fresh meat for another weeks' worth of griping, b!tching, and complaining.

Yes, it IS a minority. Don't kid yourself about that, LOL. Clearly, most of the threads and comments made about Pastner are made by "new" posters that are just suddenly showing up.

A presser would be like chumming for sharks, LOL.

Here is truth without all the drama:The majority of us pretty much understand Pastner will be here next season, despite some posters incessantly ranting the boosters call the shots. A fella named Judd might disagree. Most of us are fully aware Pastner's seat will be hot from the start. You can safely bet the farm that Pastner himself completely understands what he faces in the 2015-16 season. Every game, every decision, every action will be made in the crucible of INTENSE SCRUTINY by the media and fans. If he makes the NCAA tournament second weekend (Sweet 16), he's more than likely safe. If he doesn't, he's more than likely gone and a new coach will be hired. End of story.

Life goes on.

The truth is that the level of hysteria being constantly recycled, repackaged, and ginned up by the usual suspects is both amusing and fatiguing.

OVERKILL, thy name is the resident MTO drama queen posters.

Football season commences in about 21 weeks (summer camp).

Have a wonderful spring and early summer, folks.

I don't think we have to look for new quotes. He's pretty good at using the same material over & over. Whether on the court or in a presser. See below...

"Well, I just want to say thank you to the players, to the assistant coaches, and to the fans. Obviously we didn't have as much success as I would have liked. I would have loved to win our last game, to win the conference championship. I want to be playing in the NCAA as bad as all of you. But hey, only 68 teams out of 350 or so get in. Getting in is not a birthright. I like to tell my players, have an attitude of gratitude. Playing college sports is a privilege.
So now, we have some work to do, but I like our prospects for next year. I think we will be really good. I think we have a chance to do some good things."

i could go on and on, but that is close to exactly how it would start

Impressive.

I think that's a really, really good post. I'm probably one of the people you are referring to regarding the boosters calling the shots and that's fine. They certainly do make recommendations, fund roughly 95% of Josh's salary and almost always get their way within reason. This situation won't be any different. Regardless, your post is really good.

Isn't there typically one final coach's show / end of year summation?

No, nothing's going to change at this point I just think it's typical and customary.
