Any issue with Duke getting a #1 seed over UVA?
Virginia did win the regular season title and finished with a better record.

No but I do have an issue with Villanova getting a 1 over Virginia. IIRC their best win was against Butler. But that switch pushes a possible rematch between Virginia and Louisville off until the Elite 8.

I have issue with a team who didn't win their regular season title or even play for their tournament title being given a #1 seed. I get the "body of work" argument but logically, it doesn't make any sense.

That is true and an interesting way to look at it. But their road wins are impressive.

But they didn't win their conference. And the two schools that did (only one officially), aren't 1 seeds. Again, it just doesn't make sense.

No issue here.

- Virginia, with Justin Anderson's injury, is not the same team it was with him.
- Even with Anderson healthy, Duke beat them in Charlottesville
- Duke won a road game at Wisconsin.

So.. no issues here.

I have an issue with Villanova as the #2 overall seed, but NC State will take care of that for us in short order :)

lot's of conference winners don't get #1 seeds.

UVA got bumped because of injuries and late loses.

No issue. Duke has a better overall resume. Also keep in mind, as the committee does, unbalanced schedules in conference play. UVA had a very easy ACC schedule compared to Duke or others.

ND beat Duke two out of three and won the ACC tournament championship.

Why is Duke ranked ahead of ND again?

possibly because they lost to other teams...

Duke had a better OOC schedule(By a lot) and overall better schedule..
Virginia has a beef but we don't in regards to the one seed. I do think we deserved a 2 seed though.

Considering the difference between a 1 and a 2 is negligible I don't know. Duke's losses are to ND - 2, NC State, and Miami.

Some of the seeding's are just made for TV drama. ND deserved a 2 and Miami deserved an 11.

2 or 3, either way, Notre Dame will beat Kentucky, and TerryD can photochop his newly minted "championship" poster -- even though he doesn't care about ND hoops.

So he says.

Oh, I like and care about ND basketball. Baseball, hockey and lacrosse, too, just not nearly as much as football. I have since 1964.

It is division and conference tournaments/championships that don't do that much for me.

I imagine it's because of the away win at Wisconsin. Doesn't make much sense to me either. I was expecting one seeds for both, or Virginia as a one and Duke as a two.

I'm not putting any money on it either, but if ND and Kentucky meet up in Cleveland it will be one of those classic good vs evil clashes like Duke vs UNLV in 1991. I know who I'm rooting for.

The problem is those same 23000 Kentucky fans in Rupp will also be in Louisville and Cleveland. This is the Only thing They Spend Their money on each year and if They survive and Go to Indy, Money is No object to Them. Hell, They will sell The El Camino first before missing out on that. 03-lmfao03-lmfao
