So, 5 WBB teams make some post season for the SBC. Nice! I can't remember when the last time we made post season was. I'd have to check.

AState opens at home in the WNIT Wednesday against Western Michigan of the MAC. Win and we get a 2nd round matchup against our old rivals the Lady Smurfs (MTSU)

Yes, but not as much as the Men's tourney does.

Women's basketball post season
Astate leads western Michigan 28-20 at halftime. I'd say around 3k here, which is almost twice what our men averaged this year

Well, women are better looking than men, so that's understandable. Wait, that's kind of sexist. Oh, that's right, it's because they had better success on the court than the men, that's why the fans are there.

Lady Cats led the whole game then went cold (I mean not a single basket cold) with 5:36 left and lost 57-54

RE: Women's basketball post season
AState wins a strange game with Western Michigan 61-49. Our last deficit in the game was 17-16, and we took our largest lead at the final buzzer. We could never put a scrappy WMU away, but they rarely were closer than 4 points the entire 2nd half.

AState advances to the 2nd round of the WNIT against the winner of Ball State and our old pals Middle Tennessee.

Women's basketball post season
UL women went on a big run at the end of the game last night to blow out UTPA 78-56.

They will host McNeese at 7 pm on Saturday.

Cajun's coach Garry Brodhead was a former associate head coach at McNeese before being hired at UL.
