His brother had one of the hottest games I've ever seen for someone coming in off the bench while at Michigan last year or 2 years ago. He couldn't miss - I think it was in an NCAA game as well. Isn't his nickname "Spike" or something like that?

Not sure if he graduated or not from UT, but he did sit out 1 full year between UT and FDU.

Feel badly for AJ Mathew. Has to leave Toledo and ends up stuck in Hawaii. Pity.

Coach K's first recruit was Ryan Majerle. He left after one semester for Grand Valley State. He now plays for his Uncle Dan Majerle at Grand Canyon. He has one more year of eligibility.

17. Emeka Okafor: Finished his playing days out at Western Illinois and planned to become a doctor. He never scored more than 3 ppg at WIU.

RE: Where are they now (former UT men's basketball players)
I thought Ryan would be an excellent outside shooter at UT but he lost his confidence early on and seemed to struggle during his last six games in Dec before transferring out. It was a rough start for TK in those early days. Coach TK's time at UT has surely been frustrating on several levels. Overall he has done a very good job. Just think where this program was 5 years ago as evidenced by the list of players who have transferred out. Coach TK made the right and sometimes tough/painful decisions to weed out players he judged to be marginal and he was basically right in his player evaluations as proven by the resumes shown in this thread.

Go Rockets!!!!!!

I agree. How will he ever recover from being 'stuck' in Hawaii? Oh, the horror!

Maybe it just felt like Lo was here forever. I still can't believe he had any eligibility left.

I can't believe a 6'8" guy couldn't jump over a piece of typing paper, but there he was.

RE: Where are they now (former UT men's basketball players)
You guys got me curious about Lo, so I did some google research. Near as I can figure, he played 3 years with UT. Was dismissed by TK before the start of his senior season. He appeared to stay at UT and get his degree (remained on scholarship), and then transferred to FDU as a graduate transfer, and played most* of a season there. Most of that was confirmed, but some things I had to interpolate...

*most, 'cause apparently he was suspended with 5 games left in the season at FDU. What a ride he had. http://www.fduknights.com/news/2012/2/9/...23216.aspx

His 4th year at UT he would just sit in the student section by himself and crack jokes about the team/players/coaches. Seemed a little bitter, thinking he was better off watching from the stands rather the be on the team.
