Thats what we were hearing.

The Gov, what a freaking toolbag. Now do you do that, does he think he's funny.

Is the winning the CUSA actually helping the other side and taking pressure off the administration.

I was a little concerned that would happen, but it seems to have re-ignited the flames of resistance in many hearts where they were flagging. And the administration's bone-headed handling of things once again helped as well: Watts did not show on Saturday, and issued a letter four days later attaching some of the glory to his "strategic plan." I would say we are a much, much angrier people than we were Saturday morning.

At least the team WAS congratulated on Saturday by a university president: McPhee from MTSU. It speaks volumes when an act of common courtesy stands out.

When is the vote? I thought I heard it was suppose to be in April. One would think UAB would have a contigency plan and conference lined up if it all goes south. However, seeing how football was handled, it would not surprise me if this was not done.

While I don't agree from a business or long term view that CUSA should keep UAB, I do think there is a 75% CUSA gives them until next June since they would not get another team for this upcoming season. Gives CUSA time to scout potential replacements & allows UAB olympic sports to happen for one more year. Still that only gives CUSA about 6 months to bring back football. My prediction, I do see a decision in the winter meeting to provide UAB time to look for a new home and invite a new team at that time. On this I go to voting to remove UAB at a 75% of happening. Main reason the BOT will run out the clock with delays and force CUSA hand. I am guessing but it will probably be another month before a review can get started.

No saying it is right or fair, just the state of college football today. Actually how society goes today. We have seen how stonewalling works and people get away with stuff.

To the UAB fans, you got nothing to lose, the answer is already no. So fighting may get a yes. I just think the odds and deck is heavily stacked against you.

Thank you for that deep insight.

Oh yeah, that, and what BandDad said up above about your horse.

Still, CUSA needs to look at if from a business perspective and not an emotional one. If UAB comesback, how stable of a program can it truly be? From a Business perspective, it just does not seem worth the gambe if you can replace it with less of a headache. Maybe this is example is better. Like the states that are going crazy with gun control laws, then the state is shocked then the Gun MFC moves to a Gun friendly state. The workers are hurt but it was the state that caused it not the Gun Company.

Dude. Stop digging.

I was greatly alarmed to learn of the remarks you made to the UAB nursing students at the State Capitol last week on Nurses Day. It was recounted to me that when you recognized the UAB students you then smiled and asked, “Do you guys have a football team up there?”

Sincerely... **** you Governor Dr. Doctor Bentley.
