I know it only took a fraction of a second, but the natural pessimist in me was convinced that ball was going to fall off the edge of the rim.

So great when it went in!

This is the image I'll remember. It didn't seem so difficult in real time, but that was a miracle shot on replay.

Funny. I kept seeing the ball sitting up on the rim all last night. It took an eternity to decide to drop thru or fall off.

It was nice for once that the Basketball Gods smiled on UC. We have had so many little and big disappointments thru the years.

Here's to hoping the Basketball Gods are smiling on us tomorrow. : )

Look at the faces in the background. That hypnotized a lot of people for a split second.

Yeah , great pic showing Troy shooting . Truly amazing shot and the clock showing 0.3. The kid should have a special two years coming up.

Yes, let's cherish the moment. UC fans were badly in need of both a great comeback story and a signature postseason win.

We've endured more than most historically elite programs of late; balls that seemingly are repelled out of the cylinder by otherworldly forces and banked in three's from half court by the least likely suspects.

So today is a great day to be a Bearcat. Let's celebrate the next 27 hours and go make some more history in Lousville tomorrow afternoon.

GO BEARCATS!

That and the GA St coach falling off of his chair we will see for many years to come.

What a shot.

Add that to Bearcat lore.

Don't forget our star player on our what should've been #1 #1 seeded team breaking his leg at the start of the conference tourney.

I actually had a DJ memory come back last night during the gameā€¦ KJ found himself wide open inside the arc, hesitated a long moment and proceeded to drain a 10 footer. It made me think of DJ at the end of the DePaul game draining the 10 footer for the win but looking around before he shot it...he couldn't remember if Kenyon had touched the ball.

I watched that shot a dozen times last night. For once the basketball gods took mercy on the miserable and the cursed. That ball was no ordinary toilet bowl. It actually rolled around and started to roll out, it is spinning and hits the backboard as it starts to roll out, which stops the spin and gives it the slightest of deflections back into the basket.

Let's hope the Divine is on our side tomorrow.
