couldn't take into account that Nichols was out for the rest of the year?
Nah, would make too much sense for you to understand.

We were a mediocre team with Austin. Why are some now all of sudden acting like we were a lock for the NCAA tournament before Austin went down? We were an NIT "bubble team" with him... Losing Austin did not break this season.

With Austin we beat Temple at home and in the tournament. We beat Tulsa at home. That's 3 extra wins that get us in NIT and also keep us going an extra day in the conference tourney.

Nobody is saying with Austin we were an NCAA lock what we are saying is not having him cost us some games

Maybe, maybe not. We lost to Tulane at home with Austin and we lost to ECU with Austin.

It's so funny to watch Bama fans act like they knew who Anthony Grant was all these years...

Heh heh heh

You have nothing to do with whether he stays or goes. Stop gloating about it like you made the call..........

Why are you so invested in being 'right' about Paz staying? Is this how you acted when OJ was found innocent?

I call BS on the NIT committee not knowing Alabama fired their coach.

That news was out many hours before the NCAA made their selections. I think maybe even a couple of days before.

Then the NIT chairman lied. He actually sounded kind of pissed.

They had spoken with them several days earlier because the opponent, Illinois, I believe had a schedule conflict with their arena. They spoke with Bama about whether their venue was available. So Bama, a 6 seed without a coach gets to host a game.

Typical of posters that hate Pastner. Nobody is saying we were an NBA lock and nobody thinks he is a demigod like some other guy said below. Nobody acts like we won the Super Bowl or that we "hang our hats" on beating mediocre teams.

On the other hand, there are posters that criticize every little thing he does and never give him credit for anything.

LMAO.

Regardles whether they knew or not, Bama just annihilated Illinois 79-58 on their home court with their assistant coach holding the reins.

Good for them. The Illini fans I've been working with the last two weeks sound like some of ours. They just wanted the year to be done with.

I know for a fact that I knew that Alabama had fired their coach well before the NIT seeds were announced.

And the NIT had to wait until the NCAA announced theirs first.

Makes you wonder if the team had quit playing for Grant.
