Sorry, the weekend is a total loss. Another first round exit from the AAC tourney , no NCAA tournament of course and now no NIT either......

All it takes is for one pitcher to be on and a 0-30 team could defeat the top ranked team in the country for one game.

True, but, their early schedule was brutal and they have yet to play a home game:

I was at the first game of the double header yesterday and there were signs of the 11-1 score coming from the start. Eastern Illinois starting pitcher couldnt hit the strike zone in pregame warmups and that carried over to the game. He was also tipping his pitches and it was easy for a batter to see when a fastball was coming or he was going to throw something offspeed. The tiger batters were just sitting on fastball and would drill it. Their outfielders missed 3 flyballs that they should have caught as well as an easy grounder to center. They weren't a good fundamental team or at least it looked that way in the first game.
