Hell, you had one whole bracket set up not to challenge Duke! And yeah, if you weren't P5 you needed to watch the show with a bottle of Vaseline handy. It's all about the money. The P5 have the greatest number of viewers and ad revenue lines the network pockets. Add to that the fact that tourney credits are essentially another form of payoff to the power conferences and you get what we have, a marriage of the schools with the greatest number of viewers in bed with the networks who want the ad bucks. It isn't about much else. Which by the way was why T.C.U. and Baylor got hosed in the football playoff. For the non P5 conferences if you didn't win your tournament you were in trouble. Personally I don't care how big conferences grow, but no conference should get more than 1/3 rd of their members in. I'll give conferences with 14 the benefit of the doubt at 5. Conferences of 12 get 4. Conferences of 10 get 3. There is no way that any conference deserved to get 6 in, let alone 7.

I guess the committee thought they were seeding SEC football. The P5/G5 finally migrated to the hard-court. Even Wooden disagrees with UCLA making it.

Interesting what Patrick Stevens, one of the top bracketologists said about this:
The committee has largely been consistent from 2007 to 2014. This bracket is ... Different

Rough year for the AAC. Finishes third in G5 rankings and only gets two in compared to six for BE and four for A10.

Ouch, I sure hope you put your gloves on before delivering those blows.
Yes, this Tournament seems to have been turned into quite the Statement. I mean, it was the AD of Utah State having to defend many of those moves that were obvious moves of deference to the P5. That was priceless.

So a team that lost to Alabama and has their best non-con win over UAB, in addition to an average conference schedule with only wins over Utah, Stanford, and Oregon (all home except Stanford) gets in over a Temple team that demolished Kansas and Cincinnati? Quite debatable.
Also, watch out for Dayton and Davidson. Yes, i'm an A10 homer but I think each has a shot to make noise.

Had to defend the committee shafting a team from his own conference (CSU) that had an RPI of 30, in a move that looked like pure retaliation. "How dare the MWC let Wyoming steal a bid! We'll just take another one of theirs away and call it even!"

Look at it this way, the more middies (no offense army guy) that square off, the more that are guaranteed to advance to later rounds.

IU beat uk at home 3 years ago, no way they were going to be left out this year. Only reason I loves this is because Crean will be back next season. ESPN saves the day again.
IU basketball = Miami football.

A10 only got 3 in, not 4. And if UConn had won, it would have been AAC 3 A10 2(Dayton last team in).

Hey,my team deserves nothing in basketball, so this isn't personal sour grapes, but surely you have come to the conclusion by now that the big boys are trying to destroy the G5. It seems more and more obvious to me.

It seems odd that the committee would have a bias towards the p5 schools when you consider the committee is mostly reps from mid majors schools/conferences, so if there is a conspiracy the other conferences are in on it.
