Ugh...fouled them on a 3. That was a very bad decision.

Not a bad win at all, especially when your conference POY goes 1-20!

I hope you guys have still been watching. Kenny is just about the coolest non-ego coach I have ever seen.

Pure class at the net cutting ceremony, Kenny Brooks. Pure class.

Just got home from the game. Stayed for the awards and net cutting.

Hofstra played a tough game against the Dukes today. Toia, Jazz lady and Destiny really worked hard and made clutch shots, rebounds and FT's to seal the win. Major props to Muff for drawing 5 charges against the Hofstra guards which I think severely limited their driving to the hoop. Precious had a rough game but played hard and came up with a few key boards and some crucial FT's in the second half!!

Nice turnout by the Dukes fans. Outnumbered the pride fans by 15 to 20 to 1. The Pep band was in great form along with the cheerleaders and Dukettes.

At just under 10 minutes the lights went out with the Dukes up 41-40. had a 17 minute delay and I was worried that things would go to hell but the Lady Dukes rallied and kept up the pressure!!

Nice gesture by Kenny to have Chad from the Pep band cut the last line on the net and remove the net from the hoop!!

Great win by the Ladies. Next stop, the Big Dance!!

Brian

I did not see the TU game. We shot very poorly the last two games. I understand that you have to ride the horse that brought you but there is no way I would ever have a player on my team shoot 1-20. Giggets and Jazz should have shot more today and I blame Hall as much as Kenny. As a player, you have an obligation to get the ball to the hot hand.

Muff could barely hit the rim on her jumper tonight. I give her credit though, she stopped shooting. Hall was far worse. Not just her shooting but her turnovers as well. Her decision making today was poor. At times, she is not a smart player. She wasn't just missing, she was missing badly. She did not play like the player of the year in either game. She was 6-18 vs Elon. That made her 7-38 for the last two games. Yuck!

JMU is not playing as well today as they were in January. I Think they are going to struggle to get a win in the tourney if they don't get their shooting touch back.

On the positive side, the ladies fought hard and managed to tough out two wins with their "D" game. Even though they missed free throws in the last minute they managed to get the rebounds. There were blocked shots too. The officiating was bad. Lady's four foul was a horrible call.

The season was another great one. Four tournament titles in six years really starts to feel like a dynasty.

Precious and Lady on the All-Tournament Team. Jaz the tournament MVP! All well-deserved. Now let's hope for a good seed in the tournament.

And ditto to everything that Brian said.

I think our play is going to hurt our seeding. The conference is weak and if the committee tuned in to watch, the semis and championship games did little to help change that perception. JMU does have some recent tournament history in the NCAAs so we have to hope that will help our cause.

Nice little write up in the Post NCAA supplement today about the game. Also a nice pic of Jaz.

About the only time we get any ink in the Post about BB, either Men's or Women's.
