WTF Tulsa!?
Tulsa probably busted their bubble, a total meltdown down the stretch... What a comeback by UConn... I still would take coach Haith any time.

What a meltdown...
Inspite of a mediocre regular season, Ollie's team is most likely going back to the tourney with their win over SMU tomorrow. With their great guard play, they will be a dangerous team in the NCAA tourney.

Holy cow I cannot believe Tulsa lost that game. UConn got hot and Tulsa missed everthing down the strech. Tulsa looked to be the better team to me. But those UConn guards made it happen.

Guards man...it's all about the guards. That's why I don't understand why the cupboard was bare this season, and once we knew it was bare, why not develop the one young player with the most potential at PG in Pookie?

Yep, We can talk all day about sweeping Louisville last year and UConn this year but when it really counted you see what happened.

Pookie probably was gonna lose more games for Memphis than Pastner could take... Pookie is just not good enough... I can't even compare Pookie to the likes of Chris Garner or Joe Jackson.

Because Kedren is 1000 times better than Pookie. If Pookie wants to earn minutes, he has to learn the college game.

If we'd had Austin we would have beaten Temple and had a chance to win the Conf. Tourn.

got an even more thrilling one on ch 3 right now.

SDSU/ Wyoming are both in the 30s with 7:00 left in the game. Wyoming has scored 8 pts in the 2nd half

How did a Tulsa thread get turned into a bash Pastner thread? If you ever want proof that some people have tunnel-vision focused on their hate filled agenda then you have it in this thread.

With a level playing field Tulsa should not have to worry. But things are not level. Their resume is head and shoulders better than OM who is still being projected as in. Tulsa only bad loss is in a crosstown rivalry game at ORU rpi 170. OM miss had bad losses AT HOME to Carolina Southern rpi 166, W Kentucky, TCU and Vanderbilt.

Pookie isn't Joe Jackson or Chris Garner, he's Pookie Powell. And who cares if he lost games this year (which is absolutely doubtful anyway), when the only downside is...... we miss the NIT if we play him I guess? We're missing that anyway.

If you can't see the potential in Powell, you may need to see your eye doctor.

We don't know that for sure. The last game Pookie played significant mins was against UCF and he played really well. He has more potential than Kedren. This season was going to be a waste anyways; not developing a PG is going to be detrimental for next season.

Highly disagree...better now and not a 1000 times better. And how do you expect Pookie to learn the game without any playing time the last month? His last significant mins were against UCF and played really well. Then his minutes disappeared.

Yeah, that was some putrid basketball!

We were doomed without AN, but the 6 seed was the ticket. Oh yeah, playing at"home" has its benefits!

Even if UConn wins tmrw, they are toast. Not a good team.
